Maggie McGee's Sports Bar has been a Salt Lake institution for over 40 years, originally opening its doors in 1969 when George Poulos decided that Salt Lake City needed an Irish Pub. The Spartan (Maggie's original name)  was an instant success and operated under George's watchful eye for over 10 years.

In 1980 Arden and Jackie Brimhall took ownership and the Spartan became Maggie McGee's. Although Arden was involved, Maggie's was Jackie's baby and you could find Jackie at Maggie's just about whenever the doors were open. During this transition the Cottonwood Mini-Mall was built and Maggie's moved to the location where you find it today.

In 1999 James Brush took ownership enlarged and updated Salt Lake City's favorite nightspot with a series of improvements including a remodel, Karaoke center, pool tables, and a redesigned stage/dance floor. Jim introduced a unique decor inspired by his love for sports and popularized Karaoke in Salt lake City. In 2008 the square footage was nearly doubled with the addition of a new game room featuring six pool tables, air hockey, two electronic dart boards, mini-shuffleboard, and a 10 kW satellite music system along with an extended bar and additional flat screen TVs.

In 2010, Rebekah and Thomas Wiandt took ownership and introduced a series of small changes to freshen up the look and make your evenings at Maggie's even more enjoyable. We've repainted, rearranged, and updated the decor to brighten the atmosphere, updated the video and sound system to better handle special events along with the Karaoke Maggie's is famous for. Continuing the trend you've grown accustomed to, we'll have a variety of food and drink specials and special event giveaways.

Karaoke is featured 7 nights per week and is very popular and boisterous. Our well stocked bar and great bartenders will create any drink you can imagine. Our 24 TVs makes Maggie McGee's the place to catch your favorite team. Come in and enjoy you evening at maggie McGee's
